Year-End Note Journalist Safety Committee 2022
The Journalist Safety Committee (KKJ) was declared in Jakarta, on 5 April 2019. This committee aims to advocate for cases of violence against journalists and the media, as well as fight for press freedom.
This institution has ten members, including press organizations, press associations, and civil society organizations, namely the Press Legal Aid Institute (LBH), the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI), Amnesty International Indonesia, the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI), Indonesian Television Journalists Association (IJTI), Indonesian Cyber Media Association (AMSI), Southeast Asia Freedom of Expression Network (SAFEnet), Media Workers Union and Creative Industries for Democracy (SINDIKASI), Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI), and the Federation of Indonesian Media Workers Union (FSPMI).
